Choose two updates, read the date movement, and inspect changed activities.

AI narration: Emma · female. Fictional demonstration data.

## 0:00 — Find out what changed.

A schedule comparison answers a practical question: what changed between two versions? We'll compare the July and August updates for Harbor Renewal, then follow the completion movement to the affected activities.

## 0:14 — Choose the same project.

Open Schedule Compare and select the project. Check the name and project number before continuing. For this walkthrough, both schedule versions belong to Harbor Renewal. That keeps the comparison focused on the same work.

## 0:29 — Choose an earlier and a later update.

Choose July as the earlier version and August as the later version. Read the data dates beside the names. Here, both are monthly updates. Comparing them shows movement since July, rather than variance against an approved baseline.

## 0:45 — Read the overall movement.

Select Compare. The completion date moves from November twentieth to November twenty seventh, a change of seven calendar days. Four activities changed. Start with this summary, then look for the detail that explains it.

## 1:00 — Follow the movement to an activity.

In Changed activities, marine foundation works finishes seven days later and is now marked critical. Its float change is minus four. Delta means change: that column does not tell you the activity's absolute amount of remaining float.

## 1:16 — Explain the change before deciding the action.

Your short explanation should name the two versions, the completion movement, and one activity to investigate. Then check the schedule logic and supporting review before deciding the response. The comparison is evidence for the discussion.
